For some time now, I've been thinking about creating a blog where I can keep my customers up-to-date on what's happening at Quilts from the Trail!
My goal is to post at least once week (I'm thinking every Friday or Saturday). I'll be sharing quilting tips and tricks, as well as, pictures of customer and personal projects that I've been working on during the week.
So let's take a look at what's been happening the last couple of weeks.
Margaret A. - Table Topper
Margaret A. - Garden of Flowers Throw
Close Up - "Florine's Flowers" Pantograph used
Julie W. - Crazy Curves in Batiks
Circles quilted using Circle Lord; Background - Meandered
Julie W. - Diamonds in Pinks, Browns and Greens
Close Up: Continuous Curve in darker diamonds, meandered light diamonds and piano key quilting in border
Doris N. - Pinwheels and Vines
Closeup: Continuous Curve in pinwheels, meandered background, echo quilting around vine/leaves - I continued the vine across the rest of the border, stitch-in-the-ditch on sawtooth border
Doris N. - Northwoods Charm
Closeup: "Loops and Leaves" Pantograph
Shirley P. - Up Up and Away
This quilt is for Shirley's 7 year old grandson; the basket is a pocket where his picture can be inserted and he can look out the little "window" Shirley P. - "Field of Balloons"
Closeup: Shirley put batting behind some of the balloons and stitched it in place before bringing me the quilt top. I quilted around the balloons and stitched a swirling "wind" throughout the field. The balloons appear to come right up off the quilt.
Kerrie L. - Birds and Berries
Marcia R. - Nickle Quilt (Meandered)I hope you enjoyed the pictures. I have a few more customer quilts I'm hoping to get to before this week is finished! Hubby is going in tomorrow morning for shoulder replacement surgery so the rest of this week is a bit "up in the air".
Happy Quilting!
Patti
